SEPTEMBER MEMBERS ONLY EVENT

There will be no regular meeting this month. Instead we invite you to join us for our annual membership social event:
Sunday September 25, 2016, 7:30 - 9:00 PM.

Currently a member? Great - join us and bring a friend or two!
Membership lapsed? No problem - renew in advance or at the door!
Been intending to become a member? Now is a good time!

Membership contributions help to support our endorsed candidates, including Dr. Les Zendle, candidate for the Desert Healthcare District who, with his partner Jerry Hanson, is hosting us for this event. No long speeches - just a fun evening. The event will honor and remember a founding member of DSD, the greatly missed George Zander

If you need to join DSD or to renew your membership, save time at the door by doing so prior to the event on our "Become a Member" page (link below).

Current membership is a requirement for attendance.

ENDORSEMENTS MEETING – AUGUST 16, 2016

At our August meeting, members and guests heard from six candidates running for local offices

The Political Action Committee recommended endorsement of candidates for Cathedral City Council, Indio City Council, PSUSD and the Desert Healthcare District (earning them a place on our slate mailer). The recommendations were accepted unanimously by the voting members.

We also reviewed this year's ballot initiatives (all 17 of them!) and the California Democratic Party's endorsements thereof.

A complete list of DSD endorsements for the November 8 ballot and a link to the ballot initiatives, may be found on our Resources page.
